US - REMOTE or CA-ONTARIO REMOTEThe Senior Director, PMO &
Finance Operations is responsible for the PMO, Finance Operations,
and Governance for the Enterprise IT team. This is a critical role
and function within CDK, that will help us accelerate our vision to
become a transformative and focused IT organization!We are looking
for an analytical, curious, process-oriented, and data-driven
leader to join the team who will interact with senior leaders
across CDK and within IT providing leadership, guidance, and
assistance to help drive project and financial effectiveness. This
role will define and present KPIs that matter, and which will
evolve the Enterprise IT organization, as well as create business
cases to support the transformation of technology and business
processes including financial cost analysis for people and
technology.As the Senior Director, PMO & Finance Operations, one is
responsible for, however not limited to, the following
responsibilities:PMO Leadership:
- Oversee, develop, maintain, and routinely report on
program/project delivery governance routines, methodologies,
progress, status, and metrics for IT enterprise portfolio focusing
on consistency cross-functionally and across operating models
- Provide thought leadership, create, and advance PMO
roadmap
- Point role for acquisition and divestiture activities focusing
on integration
- PPM tools, templates, methods oversight, continuous
improvement, and management of detailed PPM data (resources,
allocations, costs, estimates, durations, etc.)
- Lead portfolio AOP planning synched with annual budgeting
cycle, including portfolio modeling and management of portfolio and
PPM data set (resources, allocations, costs, estimation, duration,
etc.); detailed management of financials related to AOP,
portfolio
- Lead unplanned, off cycle project demand approval, considering
estimates, PMO-compliance, resources across shared services and
third-party vendors, and alignment to strategic objective
- Establish tools, templates, methods, and processes related to
hub and spoke model of PMO, Project Managers, Portfolio Managers,
Demand Managers, Delivery Managers,
- Lead communities of practice for program/project management,
portfolio management, and demand management, set expectations
including onboarding and training resources
- Lead cross-functional prioritization methods, routines, and
communication in support of IT-enterprise portfolio, across demand
management, shared services, third party vendors, business units,
and functions.FinOps and IT Business Operations Leadership:
- Proactively manage operating budgets and financials for
Enterprise IT, partner closely with FP&A for annual, quarterly,
monthly, and ad hoc requests
- Act as a key stakeholder in discovering insights that drive
operational improvement in the day-to-day running of the business,
and that unlock the potential of strategic business decisions
- Drive highly visible strategic projects and process
optimization, work cross-functionally to identify and analyze
opportunities for business improvements, and develop solutions and
actionable recommendations through a rigorous, data-driven
process
- Develop data-driven investment thesis, business cases, and
success criteria for initiatives that enable growth and drive
performance and productivity improvements
- Establish key operating KPIs to drive accountability and
measure the progress of key operational priorities and strategic
initiatives
- Partner with the executive team and key leaders across product,
engineering, marketing, sales, communications, and customer care to
identify key deliverables, set clear milestones, and help resolve
cross-functional dependencies to drive company-wide alignment
- Influence business strategy by identifying key insights and
help drive alignment across the leadership team
- Bring best practices to develop, implement, and manage policies
and processes that scale our business operations
- Drive automation and improve existing business systems and
reportingQualifications and Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related;
MBA preferred
- 10+ years successfully managing IT budgets, large and complex
IT project lifecycles, and overseeing direct/indirect reports and
vendors.
- 10+ years of Business Operations experience with a mix of
strategy, and business operations in the tech industry, preferably
a modern SaaS company
- Capable of bottoms-up, top-down, and zero-based budgeting
- Demonstrated ability to create and deliver Executive level
presentations
- Driven organizational change to modern methods like FinOps &
Agile
- Excellent business judgment, strategic and structured thinking,
and experience leading people and projects
- Organized, strategically focused, detailed oriented, and able
to deal with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment
- Strategic problem solver with the ability to go deep to
understand a problem and pull up to help your teammates understand
potential solutions and tradeoffs
- Detail-oriented with contracts, vendor management, and
organizational metrics including headcount, contractors, and
third-party resources
- Strong analytical and modeling skills to solve complex business
problems
- Strong project management skills and experience
- Measured, clear, and concise communication & presentation
skills
- Can navigate networks of systems and people to find the
information you need and are tenacious in solving problems and
bringing clarity to areas of confusion
- Ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks
and concrete action plans to drive clarity and results
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build
successful relationships and partner across the organizational
structure
- Action-oriented and solution-driven with the ability to thrive
in a fast-paced environment
- Manage highly confidential information with professionalism and
unquestionable integrity
- Technically proficient: Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel
and PowerPointSalary Ranges: $180,500 - $230,000CDK Global is
committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but
not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work
location. The total compensation package for this position may also
include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable
