Purpose: To provide administrative support for the tax department to optimize workflow, efficiency, resources, and customer satisfaction

Essential Duties:

• 
  
• Independently validate customer exemption certificates and record in tax software
  
• Interact with customers and vendors on various sales tax matters via phone and email
  
• Responsible for overall document organization including scanning and storage
  
• Process various tax payments
  
• Receive and sort/deliver postal mail
  
• 1099 records and filing process assistance
  
• Business license filing assistance
  
• Provide audit support by gathering and organizing audit information
  
• Assist in preparation and organize tax exemption certificates for vendors
  
• Analyze and record property tax assessments

      • 2+ years of administrative / assistant experience

        • Experience with sales tax/exemption certificate review a plus
          
        • General experience with ERP systems
          
          - - Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations

          • High school diploma required, associate (or higher) degree in business or accounting preferred
            
            - - - - Specific Skills
            
            • 
              
            • Experience with sales tax software a plus
              
            • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
              
            • Microsoft Great Plains experience a plus
              
              Work Environment: While performing essential duties of this position an individual regularly works indoors and may be required to sit for long periods. Individual will be required to regularly talk, hear, see and often reach with hands, stand, walk, use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
