Job Description Job Description Job Title: Shop Technician Job Description The Shop Technician will be working in the new build department to troubleshoot and perform repairs on various components of the machinery. This role involves assembling and disassembling centrifuges, as well as conducting tests to ensure proper functionality. Responsibilities Move, secure, install, build, load, or unload materials. Perform specialized tasks that may require on-the-job training. Load and unload equipment, machine assembly, and installation of equipment. Operate equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes. Effectively use heavy and light equipment based on job assignment. Move items from place to place following directions from the supervisor. Build crates and pallets. Perform all other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Electrical knowledge. Mechanical aptitude. Machine building expertise. Blueprint reading skills. Plumbing and piping abilities. Diesel engine understanding. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift over 50 lbs. Pallet jack experience required; forklift experience preferred. Adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or further education beyond high school is a plus. Work Environment Work the first shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, in a setting similar to a large garage at a car dealership. Expect a hands-on environment with grease and oil present, as work involves trucks and centrifuge units. The dress code includes work pants, shirts provided by the company, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and baseball caps, with no loose jewelry. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
