Job Description:

The Security Engineer will be responsible for leading engineering projects for CDK's InfoSec team. These projects include several diverse functions such as security log ingestion, data integrity monitoring, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS/IPS), Incident Response support, vulnerability management, script-based automation, and cloud security.The Security Engineer will report to the Security Engineering Manager and will be part of a global team with colleagues both in India and the United States. The Security Engineer will support the deployment and management of technology and processes for Cyber Security functional areas outlined above and will contribute to enhancing the Cyber Security strategy for the organization globally.Position ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate strong knowledge of IT networks: IP subnetting, VLANs, understanding the OSI model.Work with the compliance and governance teams to implement compliance and security requirements.Assist with security vulnerability reviews, threat modeling, system and application design reviewsMaintain Security Infrastructure and Engineering, advise and consult on operational monitoring ofCollaborate with cross-functional entities across the enterprise.Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.Position RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.3-6 years in information security, network security, and/or cyber security.Strong knowledge of an interpreted scripting language such as Python.Strong understanding of Linux.Knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operations.Exposure to software development methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.Proficiency with MS-Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Project.Ability to draft and implement technical operational procedures and documentation.Ability to clearly explain technical concepts using non-technical language.Demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with IT and Security organizationsExposure to task automation with Python or similar scripting languages.Demonstrate the ability to solve problems and develop commercially viable solutions.Knowledge of the Splunk Query Language (SPL) or similar query language for analysis of data.Knowledge cloud application security, API Security Management, TLSAt CDK, we believe inclusion and diversity are essential in inspiring meaningful connections to our people, customers and communities.
