Engineer is responsible for successfully driving and coordinating
the interplay of Smart Factory elements with a focus on North
American customer's needs. The individual will analyze workflows,
identify needed features and potential gaps to ensure our solutions
meet quality, usability, and business objectives. He / She will
also serve as a subject matter expert for Smart Factory digital
products and be in contact with TRUMPF Smart Factories around the
globe. The position involves close collaboration with teams in US,
Germany and Austria, underlining the international nature of this
role.Principle Duties & ResponsibilitiesIdentify and analyze
process weaknesses of digitally connected production using TRUMPF
machine tools.Work closely with the Advanced Technology Engineers
and Software teams to verify functionality and identify white spots
at internal and external customers. Work independently to create,
test and evaluate new ideas that can increase automation and
maximize the impact of our Integrated Cutting, Bending & Welding
strategy.Document test results and improve maturity level of
TruConnect software tools to ramp up go to market strategy.Organize
Smart Factory round table discussions with key North American
customers to receive market feedback on their current challenges
and future needs.Provide structured feedback to Product Management
and Development on requirements, business cases and benefit
validation of features and their deployment to customers.Work
closely with other TRUMPF Smart Factories and product centers on
development roadmaps and priorities.Domestic and some international
travel as required up to 25% of working timeExperienceThree years
working experience in the digital field with strong project
management and proficient Industry 4.0 knowledge required. Needs to
have excellent problem solving, interpersonal as well as team
playing skills combined with strong organizational talent and the
ability to work with different cultures. Knowledge of manufacturing
systems, sheet metal fabrication and MES software tools, e.g.
TRUMPF TruTops Fab, is a plus. Excellent MS Office knowledge is
required. Excellent communication skills are required as this
position involves extensive contact with customers and sales
representatives. German languages skills
helpful.EducationBachelor's degree in a technical discipline or
business informatics is required. Technical Master's degree in a
relevant field strongly preferred. Proven knowledge in the fields
of Professional Scrum Master / Product Owner preferred.TRUMPF is an
