Customer Development and Inside Sales Manager

As a key leader within the Sales Organization, this person will be responsible for leading, developing and managing a team of technical inside sales and development professionals to meet and exceed lead development, sales and profitability goals. Drives efficiency and effectiveness of the team, ensures adherence to behavioral standards and develops a professional sales force.

    Responsibilities:

    General:

    • Directly manage, recruit, hire, coach and mentor a team of Technical Sales Developers and Inside Sales Support staff to meet or exceed sales goals and objective.
    • Set, monitor and maintain appropriate KPI targets for the inside sales development team with a focus on continuous improvement Work with key stakeholders to connect leads to opportunities and opportunities to quotes, to purchase orders in a closed loop process
    • Develop a business strategy and plan with their inside sales team and provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts, reports and commentary to measure progress and adjust tactics and strategy as needed
    • Build relationships and work with the various Omron departments to accomplish tasks and objectives
    • Guide their team members, to complete training and development programs aimed at increasing product and sales process knowledge
    • As part of the training and development program, personally obtain expert knowledge level for products, services, sales processes and systems
    • Ability to use reports, data and information to accurately determine the sales activities that will drive the highest return on investment for their team
    • Drive continuous improvement mindset throughout demand creation enablement/inside sales organization
    • Create a culture that aligns with our company's values and ensure all team members understand company strategy, vision and value proposition
    • Work in collaboration with the entire Sales Organization to light the targets on sales creation, development and efficiency opportunities

      Business Development:

      • In conjunction with sales, marketing communications and product marketing, develop and implement strategies around demand creation and lead development
      • Support the Sales team for all demand creation and technical support activities to acquire new customers and graduate leads to opportunities
      • Effectively monitor and communicate lead creation performance to sales and track lead and opportunity conversions, through CRM analytics
      • Ensure team focuses on proactive sales activities including phone and virtual video-based sales calls utilizing value and solution based selling philosophies
      • Hold team accountable to utilizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other programs to plan and record sales activities, identify and log potential sales leads and graduate them to opportunities and provide key information as needed

        Inside Sales:

        • Redesign quoting work process flows with proper controls to eliminate inefficiencies and errors, improve communication, and to enable faster decision-making
        • Create develop and monitor effective quote analytics and share results with proper stakeholders, including, product BU's, as well as sales and marketing
        • Work with Business Process Improvement and Operation team to develop and create reporting tools to increase effectiveness and efficiencies
        • Report creation and sharing for all sales stakeholders, including Area Sales Managers, Territory Managers and Reps

          Job Requirements:

          • Bachelor's in business administration or equivalent degree
          • 5 years' experience in the electronics industry in a customer facing role
          • In depth understanding of the sales process
          • Experience with SFA or similar lead, opportunity management and quotation systems
