The Strategic Sourcing Solution is a discipline-based model that uses collaboration to deliver savings and end-user satisfaction. Instead of contracting for resources and supplies end-users may or may not want to use, communities within The Resource Group's Strategic Sourcing Solution take a different approach and focus on contracting for the supplies and services that meet the criteria determined by caregivers.As a Senior Director, Sourcing, you will lead a team of associates to facilitate and direct the legal review, negotiation, and completion of contracts. As team lead, the Director handles the most strategic initiatives and provides guidance and training to the team on approaches to manage contracts and transactions within the respective contract portfolio. The Sourcing Director also advances the development of contracting strategies within their assigned scope. The role negotiates contracts to provide cost-effective solutions that are consistent and clinically or professionally acceptable. Reporting to the Vice President of Contracting, the Sourcing Director works with The Resource Group leadership to ensure that supply chain processes are consistent with larger strategies and as such collaborates closely with their counterparts on The Resource Group Contract Design community, Legal, and other areas of the organization. The Sourcing Director aids in the professional development of Sourcing Managers and Agents and serves as a point of escalation in negotiations. The role works with the eSourcing team to explore new strategies to drive additional value in contracting.Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Directors of Contract Design counterparts to form category negotiation strategies and reports regularly to senior leadership on key contracting metrics
  • Manage all team members and resources through assignment of work, evaluations, and mentorship coaching as applicable
  • Collaborate with leaders on contract strategy and the evaluation and implementation of contracted products and services
  • Oversee the review and evaluation of contracting processes and compliance with accrediting and regulatory agency requirements
  • Provide leadership throughout the progression of the contracting process
  • Develops strategies to address changing business priorities to identify and recommend changes in programs and policies that drive achievement of performance objectives; deploys eSourcing strategies to drive additional value.
  • Review and analyze sourcing data, market trends, benchmarking best practices, and maintain market awareness to provide continuous improvements for sourcing strategies
  • Reviews monthly financial analysis, evaluation of market share, and strategies with senior leadership
  • Represents The Resource Group in interactions with the supplier community RequirementsEducation:
    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Master's degree preferred.Work Experience:
      • 7 years of experience required.
      • 10 years of experience preferred.
      • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
