Job Description:

Aston Carter is partnered with a manufacturing group in the Schaumburg area to hire a full-time Accounting Manager for a permanent position. This person will primarily be responsible for managing the companies accounting staff and overseeing accounting/finance operations for North American business units. Duties:

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly and year end financial close processes at an operational level for each North America Business Unit
• Define and agree Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with "in scope" activates and processes including KPIs, and performance measurements
• Proactively manage and monitor overall shared service performance to drive accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables
• Become an expert in intercompany, including the various legal entities, settlement timelines and ensure all related intercompany policies are met
• Build a culture of continuous improvement that ensures process flows and standard operating procedures are both kept current and reviewed by all staff and stakeholders, and constantly enhanced and improved
• Utilize metrics to influence efficiencies across internal teams and business partner
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and training materials for the department's activities and services
• Maintain strong controls ensuring all internal/external audit, company and statutory requirements are complied with
• Lead a financial shared services team
• Ensure the development, motivation and retention of a qualified Accounting team including training and evaluating to enhance their performance, development and work product Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5-8 years of accounting or finance management experience
