Job Description:

The Sr. Vendor Contract Manager manages the IT vendor contracts with a special focus on ensuring that contract-related activity is in line with the executive strategy and overall sourcing policies. This individual works with the vendor management organization's IT Vendor Director to minimize duplication of efforts and protect CDK during the contract change process.

The Sr. Vendor Contract Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Provides expertise and drives ongoing value from the vendor through contract negotiations, changes, reviews, and terminations
  • Contributes to the Performance Management team, providing input and feedback into team initiatives and forums
  • Works with legal and tax specialists to maximize vendor value to CDK, obtaining input into negotiations with vendors and drafting contracts
  • Oversees the evaluation and monitoring of contracts and compliance with contractual obligations
  • Approves or rejects requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules
    Works with procurement to participate in IT vendor negotiations, including pre-proposal, RFP, and post-award negotiations
  • Works with specialist legal teams (internal and external) to draft contract changes
  • Provides contract interpretation as required
  • Maintains a database of vendor contracts, highlighting deviations from the standard set of terms and conditions
  • Analyses information in the database to identify vendor opportunities and potential risks
  • Supports the sharing of knowledge, best practices, and learning within the field of contract management
  • Co-Chairs relevant vendor governance forums (managerial level)
  • Authorizes contractual changes, escalating where required.
  • Communicates all contractual changes which have a financial impact to the Finance Director (e.g., new contracts, contract extensions, planned terminations)
  • Works with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure that any contract change is compatible with the agreed architecture standards and policies
  • Conducts an annual appraisal of the contract, involving the relevant service managers to ensure continued value for money from
    the arrangements
  • Maintains up-to-date price benchmarks to drive the best price from the vendor
  • Seeks out feedback on the performance of the vendor and services supplied Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
    • 3+ years of vendor contracts management work experience, preferably from a managed services provider environment
    • Collaborative, excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills able to work with virtual and global cross-functional teams
    • Demonstrated strong influencing & negotiation skills within cross-functional teams without formal authority
    • Proven success in dealing with business leaders on all levels and ability to manage effectively within a matrix organizational structure Salary Ranges:
      
      $108,000 - $140,500
