Medical Asst - ABAG Hoffman Estates - Part-Time,Day - AMITA Med Plaza - Hoffman Estates,IL

General Schedule is part time/30 hours: Monday: 8:30-5, Wednesday: 8:30-5, Thursday: 8:30-5, Friday: 8:30-2:30 with flexibility to cover some evenings and some Saturdays.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to
Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
Responsibilities:

• Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

  Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  
  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Preferred Credential(s):
      • Medical Assistant.
        Education:
        
        • Diploma
          • High school diploma or GED required
            Work Experience:
            
            • Comfortable with blood draws, vaccines, injections.
            • Previous Pediatric experience is preferred.
