JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Surgeon Colon & Rectal Surgery Job Type:
Permanent Full-Time Location: Munster, IN Service Setting:
Inpatient and Outpatient Schedule: Monday Friday On-Call
Expectations: 1:4 rotation, includes General Surgery cases Start
Date: Approximately 90120 days post-offer, pending credentialing

requiring colorectal and general surgical care Admissions &
Rounding: Included Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes Case Mix / Clinical
Focus Areas: Colon & Rectal Surgery, General Surgery FACILITY &
TEAM DETAILS EMR System: Epic HIMSS Stage VII Specialty Backup:
Nurse practitioner support in inpatient and outpatient settings
Support Staff: System physicians with a collegial culture and
mentorship support Leadership & Reporting Structure:
Hospital-employed physician model Reason for Opening: Growth and
expansion of service lines CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE Board
Requirements: BC/BE in Colon & Rectal Surgery DEA & Certifications:
CSR, DEA required Credentialing Timeline: 90120 days COMPENSATION &

Board Status: BC/BE in Colon & Rectal Surgery State License
Required: Eligibility for Indiana medical license Certifications:
DEA, CSR Experience: Previous experience preferred but not required
Additional Requirements: EMR proficiency (Epic), team-based care
experience DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver inpatient and
outpatient surgical care with a focus on colon and rectal
procedures Participate in call rotation for general surgery
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of providers and advanced
practitioners Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
Participate in system-wide growth and quality initiatives COMMUNITY
