Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A surgical technologist with at least two years of experience in general, hand, foot/ankle, sports medicine, total joint-robotics, and solid spine orthopedics is needed for a fast-paced, contract position starting March 9th. Expertise with robotic systems such as Mako, Rosa, and Cori is essential. The role requires proximity within 30 minutes of the hospital location, and availability for a minimum two-hour call-back. This position involves 10-hour day shifts with call rotation on weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include supporting orthopedic and spine surgeries in a 20-bed operating room suite within a busy 111-bed specialty hospital. The surgical technologist will assist with cases involving a variety of orthopedic subspecialties, maintaining high standards of patient care and sterile technique. Qualifications and desired experience: Minimum 2 years as a CST or surgical technologist in orthopedic surgery Skilled in general ortho, hand, foot/ankle, sports medicine, total joint robotics, and spine ortho procedures Familiarity with robotic platforms: Mako, Rosa, Cori Certification by NBSTSA preferred but not mandatory BLS certification required Reside within 30 minutes of the hospital for timely response during call-back Ability to handle fast-paced OR environment and call rotations on weekends and holidays Schedule: 10-hour day shifts with call rotation on weekends and holidays Minimum 2-hour call-back response time Located in Waukegan, IL, this opportunity offers a dynamic work environment in a specialty hospital focused on orthopedic and spine care.
