Rehabilitation Hospital, a leader in specialized rehabilitative
care, as we seek a compassionate and skilled Occupational
Therapist. Here, we utilize cutting-edge technology and tailor our
treatment plans to meet individual patient needs, fostering an
environment conducive to recovery and functional independence. As
an Occupational Therapist at Van Matre, you'll have the opportunity
to work in a dynamic setting with a multidisciplinary team,
focusing on helping patients regain essential skills after injuries
or illnesses. Evaluate patients’ physical and mental abilities and
analyze medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals
for patients. Design and implement therapeutic strategies and adapt
environments to help patients carry out daily activities.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and provide care
tailored to patient-specific needs. Document patient care and
progress meticulously, participating in treatment planning and
reviews. Advocate for patient needs and provide education to
patients and families about coping strategies and home adaptations.
Strong patient evaluation skills, understanding of therapeutic
techniques and evidence-based practices in occupational therapy.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively
interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare
teams. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with
discretion and in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current and valid
state licensure as an Occupational Therapist. NBCOT Certification
strongly preferred.
