Behavioral Health Counselor - Bev Hlth Part Hosp 001 - PRN, Day - AMITA Health ABBHH - Hoffman Estates,IL

Shift: *****position is as needed for staff coverage and times of high census. Shifts will typically be day shifts during the week, with occasional second shifts. Candidate must understand that flexibility and availability with scheduling is necessary.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to

Provides behavioral health counseling services.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals.
• Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.
• Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
• Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.
  
  
  What You Will Need
  
  Education:
  
  
  
  
  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or Psychology required
  • Master's Degreed professional, in the field of mental health preferred.
  • LSW/LCSW, LPC/LCPC preferred.
    
    
    Work Experience:
    
    
    
    
    • Experience working in a clinical setting, providing individual and group services with experience in interviewing, diagnosing, treatment planning.
    • Must have strong computer skills and the desire to work within a fast paced, multidisciplinary team.
