Job Description:
Join Performance Foodservice, a leader in food product
distribution, as a CDL A Delivery Driver. In this role, you will be
responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of food and
related products to our diverse range of customers. This position
is critical in upholding our service commitment to our customers,
from small family-owned establishments to large national chains.
You will operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck and use
state-of-the-art technology to manage delivery routes efficiently.
Safely operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck to transport
food and related products. Perform pre- and post-trip inspection of
the vehicle, ensuring it is clean and in good operating condition.
Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery,
adjusting for traffic and weather conditions as needed. Load and
unload cargo, verifying quantities and quality upon delivery, and
handling documentation. Maintain communication with dispatch and
customer service to provide update on delivery statuses and handle
any on-route issues. Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and
company safety policies. Strong driving skills and familiarity with
DOT regulations. Good physical stamina and ability to handle heavy
cargo. Excellent navigation skills and knowledge of delivery
routes. Effective communication and customer service skills.
