POSITION BASED IN Hoffman Estates, IL or Portland, OR THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: CDK Enterprise Information Technology has embarked on a transformation to re-imagine the foundational application architecture of our enterprise. We are looking for an Agile Scrum Master help us keep pace as our business evolves. As an Agile Scrum Master, you will work with a variety of CDK teammates and a leading force for building world-class enterprise products and platforms in support of our transformation. The ideal candidate will have previous scrum maser experience with software engineering teams that build custom applications, leverage SaaS applications and are comfortable using tools such as Jira and Confluence. If you have a passion for helping to delivery software engineering business solutions and enjoy working in technology, then this role is for you. KEY ACTIVITIES: In this role, you will play a lead role across up to three scrum teams of software engineers working on strategy, design, and development of high-quality scalable corporate application products and platforms. STAKEHOLDERS: You will get to work alongside very hard-working teams including engineering, product, program and business partners. Your work will be highly impactful in leading software engineering teams to efficiently delivery technical solutions that bring measurable value to solving critical business problems. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Organizes and manages product development across multiple IT and business functions, adheres to budgets, plans/schedules the delivery of work, and monitors progress. * Provides the business with a clear picture of product development status, risks and issues. * Coordinates and oversees all scrum ceremonies at both program increment and sprint levels. * Identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency of product development. * Coordinates and interfaces with other internal and third party/vendor resources to manage dependencies and successful execution of the project. * Defines and manages the execution of cross-functional, integrated testing plans involving IT and Business teams. * Manages contact with stakeholders and team members. * Manages changes to scope, schedule and costs. * Ability to interface and present to all levels of the organization. * Ability to effectively manage multiple teams in parallel. * Ability to manage across formal organizational lines. * Ability to assign responsibility to all levels of the project team and hold team accountable for deliverables. QUALIFICATIONS: * Certified Scrum master * Strong problem-solving skills * Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business partnerships * Strong communication skills both written and verbal * Jira, Confluence or similar experience required * Previous business systems experience such as configure complex software, building workflows, etc. * High level understanding of modern software engineering practices such as DevOps, CI/CD, test driven development, etc. * Previous software engineering experience highly desirable * Prior experience with business systems and operations in the areas of sales, professional services, or support highly desirable * Bachelor's Degree * 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master * 2+ years in a software engineering or other technical role At CDK, we believe inclusion and diversity are essential in inspiring meaningful connections to our people, customers and communities.
