This role can be located at either Hoffman Estates, IL or Knoxville, TN. A substantive relocation package will be provided for out of state candidates.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Staff Software Architect, you will be responsible for :

• 
  Defining, evolving and documenting the software architecture for our PET and SPECT scanners to provide capabilities that will continue to delight our customers.
  
  
• 
  Relentlessly driving to ensure that the systems' non-functional requirements are met.
  
  
• 
  Championing the software's technical quality to ensure that the system exceeds our customer expectations and can sustainably meet our business needs.
  
  
• 
  Guiding, coaching and motivating other architects and developers over the entire lifecycle of a project.
  
  
• 
  Working across the organization, including with senior management, to collaboratively define system concepts and provide technical guidance and feedback.
  
  
• 
  Interfacing with business partners and technical teams in multiple US locations and in Germany, China and India.

  • 
    Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
    
    
  • 
    8+ years' experience building successful software systems
    
    
  • 
    3+ years' experience as an architect, technical lead, or senior developer overseeing the technical direction of other developers
    
    
  • 
    Experience with object-oriented languages & frameworks (C#/C++) and Microsoft/Web technology stacks
    
    
  • 
    Development experience with systems-oriented and distributed software platforms
    
    
  • 
    Experience working in a regulated environment
