Job Description Job Description Director of Salesforce Development Location: Chicago, IL Based - No remote Salary Range: $180,000 – $195,000 Base Bonus Employment Type: Full-Time Work Authorization: Sponsorship Not Available Benefits Health Insurance Medical Coverage 401(k) Maternity & Paternity Leave Overview Addison Group is seeking a Director of Salesforce Development to lead strategy, architecture, and execution for a large-scale enterprise Salesforce CRM. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for both technical delivery and team management in a complex, highly customized Salesforce environment. This leader will oversee a 10-person development team (onshore and offshore) and play a critical role in modernizing, optimizing, and scaling the Salesforce ecosystem. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable reviewing code, defining architecture standards, and partnering with executive stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives. Lead and manage a Salesforce development team (onshore and offshore) Own the full Salesforce development lifecycle from architecture to deployment Design and oversee custom Salesforce applications and integrations Establish coding standards, governance, and platform best practices Ensure platform stability, performance, security, and scalability Collaborate cross-functionally with technology and business leaders Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and elevate technical standards Evaluate and implement modernization initiatives and automation strategies Maintain strong data architecture and integration frameworks 8 years of Salesforce development and architecture experience Strong hands-on development expertise in: Apex Lightning JavaScript HTML/CSS Experience managing enterprise Salesforce platforms supporting 2,000 users 3 years leading distributed development teams Deep knowledge of Salesforce customization, integrations, and data architecture Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders Strong communication skills and strategic mindset Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Preferred Qualifications Salesforce certifications and experience Agile methodology and full SDLC leadership experience Experience leading Salesforce modernization or migration initiatives Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
