Minimum Job Requirements
Physical- capable of lifting 50 lbs. safely or with assistance.
Capability of standing and bending over for long periods of time
while performing manual labor with or without reasonable

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting the machining supervisor with all
machining department operations, including hands-on procedures.
Oversee the management of equipment, the requisition of supplies.
Produce parts and products in accordance with the established
safety, quality, and cost standards of the Company. Schedule
machine shop jobs to ensure customer deadlines are met. Authority
to drive company forklift if trained. Responsible for producing
quality workmanship, which meets or exceeds requirements.
Ensure all employees work safely and all hazardous conditions are
eliminated.Ensure the highest quality standards are met with all
work done in the department.Ensure output meets required deadlines
while executing above.Ensure ISO quality system and safety
procedures are followed within department.Ensure cross departmental
communication is accurate and effective.Assist in supervising and
monitoring of department employees; including training, work
allocation and problem resolution. Implement and maintain inventory
control systems and procedures; oversee shipping and receiving of
machine shop supplies and materials.Oversee the functioning and
maintenance of machine shop equipment and facilities.Determine
machine shop tooling requirements and priority sequence to assure
the most efficient and effective production process.Maintain Scrap
Log.Accurately maintain MES system as instructed.Audit of finished
parts, before delivery to QA department for final inspection.Ensure
all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered
to.Administer CPR or First Aid as required when trained. Lead
department in absence of the supervisor. Arrive to work in a
punctual manner, be willing to work overtime as needed. Maintain
neat and clean work area.Assist in monthly inventory process. Other
ad hoc duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Broad knowledge to perform routine, extensive and preventative
maintenance and upkeep of equipment and instruments used. Basic
computer and writing skills. Ability to read, understand and
explain schematics, blueprints and/or technical manuals.Advanced
ability to sequence part manufacture efficiently.Possess above
average math skills including ability to read calipers, micrometers
and associated measuring equipment.Ability to meet customer's
aesthetic requirements.Excellent verbal and written communication
skills.
Education and Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent and 7 years of experience in
machining or similar function.
