Senior Security Architect The Senior Security Architect will
develop an effective and integrated Information Security
Architecture across the enterprise. About Us:Building a Better

all.About the role:The Senior Security Architect is responsible for
the information security requirements, security and infrastructure
standards, policies, procedures, and best practices. You will also
be also be considered as a mentor to team members. Key
Responsibilities of the role are:
- Foster partnerships with business units, management, and peers
to help promote security across the organization, to better
understand our customer s perspective regarding their area, and
better understand how security can ensure the organization meets
its objectives in a risk controlled manner
- Develop security strategy plans and roadmaps based on sound
enterprise architecture practices
- Develop and maintain a security architecture process that
enables the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions
and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology
and threat drivers
- The candidate will require strong communication and negotiation
skills in order to convey and influence management and stakeholders
to coordinate on behalf of security regarding efforts to address
Information Security risk based frameworks, standards, and
policies.
- Candidate will be considered a SME in all things security/risk
and should be inclined to mentor, lead, and/or communicate across
organization as an expert consultant regarding information
security, security solutions, and risk.
- Maintain an information security reference architecture and
communicate the architecture requirements to both technical and
management partners across the organization.
- Planning IT solutions on behalf of IT Security from a budget
and technical perspective, including integration of other systems,
impact on overall environment, and ensuring implementation of
solution has been designed, planned, documented, and tested prior
to go-live.
- Maintain and enhance organization s risk levels and implemented
security controls by monitoring the security environment for its
effectiveness, conducting security analysis on various controls and
systems, identifying gaps, educating users, and recommending and
implementing improved solutions.
- Own and lead efforts in promoting a risk aware culture by
adding value to your customer s goals and objectives, seeking
opportunities to promote security within the organization, and by
aligning your customer s objectives and goals to the organization s
risk profile.What you ll need to have:
- Extensive experience providing thought leadership and counsel
to both business & technical audiences
- 10 or more years of relevant work experience in information
security, risk management, security architecture, and/or
compliance
- Extensive system integration experience in multi-platform
environments
- Experience with developing solutions to business problems
- Experience developing Information Security risk models
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, solutions, and
standards
- Experience with Network and Network Security best practices
- Strong analytical, modeling and security simulation
expertise
- Experience developing strategic plans and budgets with business
leaders to set technical direction
- Visionary thinker that can anticipate future secure computing
capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor
less experienced staff
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with common information security frameworks, such as
International Standards Organization (ISO) 2700x, the IT
Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and NIST Cyber Security
Framework
- Familiarity with applicable legal and regulatory requirements,
including, but not limited to the U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the U.S.
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the
European Union Privacy Directive, and GDPR
- Experience with working with developers and applications teams
in applying the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP)
standards into the Software Development and Life Cycle (SDLC)
process. Including an understanding of static and dynamic code
testing.
- Strong acumen in various security technologies and their
applications, including but limited to Data Loss Protection (DLP),
Digital Rights Management (DRM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
and encryption, Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM), Role
Based Access Controls (RBAC), malware and threat management,
vulnerability management, proxies, mail gateways, firewall
technology, network security, and various operating systems
- A bachelor s degree in information systems or equivalent work
experience; a M.B.A or MS in information security is a plus
- A security certificate (such as Certified Information Systems
Security Professional CISSP , Certified Cloud Security Professional
CCSP , System Security Certified Practitioner SSCP , Certified
Information System Auditor CISA or Global Information Assurance
Certification GIAC ) a plusLocationThis role is based in Chicago,
Illinois but we will look at a form of hybrid/remote working.What
